On Saturday 12 September 2026 my family and I went to Joe
On Saturday 12 September 2026 my family and I went to Joe Machens Nissan in Columbia, MO to look at a used Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) 2023 Nissan Kicks S. While going through the purchasing process I had questions about the tires but the salesperson assured me that they were in good shape. Long story short, my daughter drove this car all the way from Columbia, MO to Rocky Mount, MO on dangerously low tire pressure in two tires. I know this because the low pressure warning lit up on the dash the next morning when I started it. Dobbs checked the tires and noticed that three had a lot of sidewall wear with one showing the steel belt on the inside of the tire. This is on a CPO vehicle! Their checklist is a joke, don't buy from these people unless you bring your own mechanic!!! I sent a detailed email talking about this problem to the General Manager and Sales Manager, zero reply, zero concern for their customers.

I went to check out a 2026 Frontier Pro-4X and had Kaleb as my salesman. Earlier, I’d gone to the Joe Machens Nissan website, punched in my credit score and 60 month loan which showed 0% APR. With Kaleb, I was surprised to find that didn’t seem to be an option. I tried to show him the banner on Joe Machens Nissan website that showed the same thing and still, no luck. Kaleb also seemed to think the Nissan Military Discount was only for retirees and not for active duty. Overall, Kaleb was nice and friendly but didn’t seem to know Joe Machens Nissan own pricing.

Worth the time and money to buy your Nissan elsewhere. Bought a 2026 Pathfinder Platinum from Machens. Alex was a wonderful salesman and he did a dealer trade for the car we wanted. After that everything went south. The car was advertised on Machens website with a $4200.00 dealer discount. When they handed me an offer sheet the dealer discount was$2500.00. After we straightened that out and got the car bought I washed it three days later and found a couple tiny dents and scratches on the liftgate. I called Alex and asked him what to do about it. He said he would check but then I didn’t hear from him for several days so I just took the car in to the dealership. Alex took it over to the body shop and they did a pointless dent repair procedure on it. Got the dents out perfectly, but the scratches remained. I told him that was not good enough. He said they would fix the paint at a discount but they wouldn’t just make it right. I called the General manager Jason and told him what was going on and he took my phone number and said he would get to the bottom of it. Never heard from him again, although he did give my number to their internet sales department and they started bombarding me with texts. I went one step further and called Nissan. They assigned a case agent and said they would investigate. Never heard back from them either. I recognize that I didn’t see these scratches before we left the dealership, but I really feel like if you spend over fifty five grand on a vehicle you should be able to expect a flawless finish. Guess they disagree.

This was by far one of the best car buying experiences
This was by far one of the best car buying experiences we’ve ever had. We first dealt with Emma over the phone to set up an appointment with Anthony our salesman. She answered all our questions before we made the three hour drive just to look at the car. She was very friendly and helpful. When we arrived Anthony was very prompt in letting us view the car and even went to one of their other locations to pick up a second car for us to view. He went over all the features of the cars with us before we took it out for a test drive. He was very knowledgeable about both vehicles. After we decided to purchase the car he quickly got the paperwork ready for us and to our surprise he took the car and filled it up with gas and washed and detailed the car while we waited to see the finance guy, Brandon. Brandon was very thorough and quick and had us out the door and on our way home in no time. We would definitely recommend going to Joe Machens Nissan to purchase a vehicle from these friendly and professional staff.

Kamari our salesman was wonderful! We told him exactly what we needed and he went above and beyond! The service department has been deplorable. They are slow to assist and incompetent when they do. They don’t address issues we ask for and damage the car.
